DESCRIPTION

Observations : Moule à arçon de fabrication moderne Remarques du fabricant, Stan Nelson, conservateur des collections typographique à la Smithsonian Institution: " I modeled the punch closely upon an ATF 24 point Garamond letter. I spent about four hours on the counter-counter punch and the counter punch, which I can use again in future. Your punch took about four hours to cut and harden (and temper). The matrix striking took half an hour (to strike two) and another two hours to fit. Height is (according to my micrometer) .928" exactly. Body is precisely 24 points Didot. In practice it may be a trifle over sized when the mould heats up, although the metal will shrink a bit too."
